arts.Digital is headed by Art educator and designer/programmer, Jason Lane.
Profile
After completing a Senior School Certificate, Jason studied a Bachelor of Education - Secondary Art/English at Queensland University of Technology (Kelvin Grove) where he graduated with Honours in 1993. At QUT, he majored in diverse arts practices including Design, Ceramics, Print Making, Studio Practices and Film/Studio Photography. Since 1994, he has been employed as Subject Co-ordinator for Visual Art (Year 8-12) at Villanova College, Coorparoo.
Experience
Jason Lane's design experience spans 16 years, with experience teaching Web Authoring, Photography and Visual art. He is skilled to a highly competent level using advanced applications including:
- Macromedia Studio (incl. Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks MX, Flash MX);
- Authoring and developing Web applications in ASP, PHP, Flash and HTML;
- MySQL and MS Access (database integration with web applications for Linux or Windows servers);
- Microsoft Office (incl. Microsoft Frontpage);
- Adobe Photoshop, PageMaker, Premiere (video editing), and Audition (formerly Syntrillium Cool Edit Pro); and
- Music Composition software (Cubase, Cakewalk Studio, Reason, Recycle and other multi-tracking audio mastering software).
Creative arts experience includes:
- Extensive experience with black and white/film and digital photography and digital imaging software;
- Educator of painting (watercolour, oil and acrylics/polymer), ceramic sculpture, print making (lithography, etching, and linoleum and screenprinting), and drawing (life, observation, experimental, and mixed media).
- Competent with guitar (rhythm, lead and bass) with 20 years experience; and
- Basic competence with midi/keyboard sequencing
